Hey Everyone!
I wanted to make my first official post about something simple. So I thought, why not share how I make my version of an acai bowl!
I am such a breakfast person, but during the week I don’t have time to make a full breakfast so I have learned to make simple things that still make me full and are fun to eat!
- What you will need:
- Trader Joe’s Frozen Acai Puree Packets
- Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- Trader Joe’s frozen Strawberries
- Banana
- Trader Joe’s Butter Pecan Granola (Not Pictured)
- Natures Fuel (veggie supplement)
- Put the desired amount of ice at the bottom of your blender. If I am making a smoothie, I uses don’t put as much ice as I would if I am making a bowl.
- Once I put the ice in, I start adding all my other ingredients.
- PRO TIP: Run your frozen puree packet under warm water to loosen it up.
- Blend it to your linking. Make sure there are no frozen chunks left.
- Find a bowl, cup, whatever you want to put your smoothie in, and pour!
- I typically add my granola in, then stir and mix, and then add more on the top.(I am definitely that person who always asks for extra granola when out buying Acai Bowls).
- I like to drizzle a small amount of organic honey to add a little more sweetness, but it is definitely not something that has to be done!
- Enjoy!
I know, it looks like a lot, but this quick little breakfast only takes me about 5-8 minutes to make. Another ingredient that I will add in if I had just worked out, or need a little extra flavor, is my Vanilla Protein Powder. I think it adds a thicker consistency to my bowls, but like I have mentioned before, this is just a way I make my breakfast bowls and you don’t HAVE to follow the same recipe.
I hope you guys enjoyed my quick little DIY recipe! If you have any other suggestions I would love to hear! xoxo
